Classroom Expectations
Classroom Rules1. Come to school prepared to learn. Have all of your materials every day.
2. Respect others and be kind to everyone. Always think about what you plan to say before you say it. 3. Raise your hand to speak. Don't yell out. 4. Keep your hands, feet and objects to yourself. |
Classroom EncouragementEncouraging good behavior is a big deal in my classroom. Students "caught" staying on task, completing their work on time, helping others or going that extra mile on an assignment may find they have . . .
1 . . . earned the respect of their peers. 2 . . . formed new positive friendships. 3. . . .glowing comments on a Brave Card 5. . . . immense personal satisfaction 6. . . . strong math skills |
Critical ClauseBy the 6th grade, I have no intention of sending a student out of my class for any reason to be spoken to by someone other than me. Every situation is a situation that your child and I can work out. However, the following things will result in either a phone call from your child with a note to be signed, after-school detention, or a phone call home from administrators:
1. Foul language 2. Disrespect/talking back. 3. Failure to do classwork after several reminders. 4. Failure to turn in homework after three days. *Above behavior that does not improve will result in a referral to the office. ABSOLUTE NO Anyone who is a threat to themselves or threatening anyone else in our classroom will be instantly sent to the office. |
